Is bread flour an ok substitute for recipes with all purpose flour?

    For some recipes it might be alright.
    Cookies, would be alright
    Cakes or pastry I would replace some of the bread flour with cornstarch. Probably 1 to 2 tablespoons for each cup of flour.
