It is on me to decide when I want to join. I have about 4 months of time under which I have to join.
I am thinking if I should take one month break after graduation and then join.

If you have the option, give yourself a week or two to "shift gears" and take a break before joining the workforce. You may not have any choice, and honestly, if you get a job right after graduation, be grateful and start whenever they want you to.

If you're working for someone else, they usually have a recommended first day for you to start and the date they have in mind may or may not be negotiable. Even if they're willing to negotiate, you wont be able to negotiate for more than a week or two either way.
